Hi 8-1 and 8-2!
We are wrapping up our work on the Middle Ages in Humanities so wanted to keep parents in the loop of what we have on the go this week and next.
1. Fairy Tale Analysis project: Task Sheet
-PART 1 (slideshow) is due Friday morning. Students have had three class periods to work on this. Please ask them to open their Google Drive and show you their slideshow progress. The task sheet includes the rubric that we created collaboratively which is how these will be assessed.
-Some groups have started working on planning Part 2 and 3 which we will be working on into next week.
2. Middle Ages Quiz: Thursday, Oct. 11th
Students have been advised that we will be having a short-answer quiz on the content we have worked on around the Middle Ages next Thursday. They should be familiar and able to elaborate on the following concepts:
- feudalism
- social hierarchy, roles of serfs, peasants, knights, lords, kings
- manors/manorial life
- religious beliefs
- power of the Catholic Church
- hints of change coming
- Medieval Worldview
