Hi 8-1 and 8-2 families!
In Humanities this week we have been diving into the world of the Renaissance, learning about the Medici family and their rule over Florence, as well as the mind and work of Leonardo da Vinci. Today we discussed his 7 Principles for Life, which would make for an excellent dinner table conversation! Next week we will be beginning an individual project on the other great minds of the Renaissance, which will include research, portraiture, and a persuasive essay leading to a class debate.
WE SCARE HUNGER: 8-1 has challenged 8-2 to a "Give-Off" in collecting food items for the Calgary Food Bank prior to our Halloween Dance on Wed. Oct. 31. Please send in any nonperishable food items to your homeroom before noon next Wednesday! May the best class win!
