Compound Light Microscopes

Today, students had the opportunity to look at a variety of plant and animal specimen and cross-sections under the microscope. Getting familiar with how a compound light microscope works and being able to find the specimen was challenging at first but students were mastering focusing the image by the end of the period. Some students even managed to take a few pictures of the slides they has magnified. Great work 8-1 and 8-2!

Reminder that there will be a short MIA on Thursday, assessing converting fractions, percents and decimals to their equivalents. Discount and cost calculations will also be on this MIA.
