Hi 8-1 and 8-2,
Today we spent some time looking at a Vote Compass website:
https://votecompass.cbc.ca/alberta/
We had some technical difficulties with it, but going through the 30 questions gave students a chance to hear about the topics that are being debated in the upcoming election. In our work around worldviews this year, an important part is giving students the opportunity to consider their own worldviews, and to take time to think about where they stand on the different elements of worldview.
Any discussions you could have with your child at home about the different parties running in the upcoming Alberta election, the different leaders, the parties' platforms, and the formal process of the election would be awesome!
