Hi 8-1 and 8-2!
We are busy wrapping up our work around the Aztecs and Spanish in Humanities over the next two weeks, and we will be doing an open book quiz next Wednesday, March 20th. Students will be able to use any of their notes from class from the past two months. The good news is that we will also be having a Spring Dance at TMC on Mar. 20th, in the afternoon. :)
We are also beginning to create a "choose your own adventure" slideshow that presents a meeting of two worldviews. This coincides with our discussions around TRUTH and the significance of each decision in the outcomes of stories.
We are excited to share this work with parents and families at Student Led Conferences, next Thursday Mar. 21 and Friday, Mar. 22. Booking is available through MyCBE/PowerSchool. Ms. Turbach and I look forward to seeing as many students as possible!
Just a reminder that Mar. 22 is a Non-Instructional Day due to conferences, and then Spring Break is Mar. 25-Mar. 29. School resumes on Monday, April 1 (and that's not an April Fool's Day joke :) Grade 8 Badminton tryouts will also begin on that Monday, at 4:30pm.
